Terms & Conditions

Legal

Effective Date: 9/15/26
These NeuroDesign Home Assessment Terms & Policies ("Terms") apply to NeuroDesign Home Assessment services provided by Amara Design House LLC ("Amara"). By purchasing a NeuroDesign Home Assessment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms.
1. The NeuroDesign Home Assessment
The NeuroDesign Home Assessment is a personalized assessment of your home and how your environment relates to the way you live and experience your space.
The Assessment includes:
Advance review and analysis of your completed questionnaire and submitted home materials
One private 60-minute virtual consultation
A personalized visual NeuroDesign Assessment with key findings and prioritized, actionable recommendations, delivered within 10 business days following your consultation
The service is designed as a holistic assessment of your home, with focused evaluation of the primary spaces and conditions most relevant to your daily experience, priorities and goals. The consultation is provided virtually unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2. Questionnaire and Home Materials
Following purchase, you will receive Amara's NeuroDesign questionnaire and instructions for submitting photographs, a short video walkthrough and other information reasonably necessary to complete your Assessment.
The quality and usefulness of the Assessment depend in part upon the accuracy and completeness of the information and materials you provide. Amara may request additional information or materials when reasonably necessary. By submitting photographs, videos or other materials, you represent that you have the right to provide them to Amara for purposes of the Assessment.
3. Scheduling
Once your completed questionnaire and required home materials have been submitted, you will receive a private link to schedule your 60-minute virtual consultation.
Amara will review and analyze your submitted materials in advance of your scheduled consultation. If additional information is reasonably necessary to complete the Assessment, Amara may request it before the consultation.
Your consultation must be scheduled and completed within six months of purchase. Assessments not completed within that period will expire unless otherwise agreed by Amara in writing. Appointment availability varies and is subject to Amara's current calendar.
4. Fees and Refunds
The fee for a NeuroDesign Home Assessment is $2,500. All purchases are final and nonrefundable, except if Amara is unable to provide the purchased service as described in Section 7 below. The Assessment includes only the services and deliverables described in these Terms. Additional services require a separate agreement and fee.
5. Rescheduling and Cancellation
You may reschedule your consultation once without additional charge by providing at least 48 hours' written notice before your scheduled appointment. Requests to reschedule must be made by email to [email protected].
Requests received fewer than 48 hours before the scheduled consultation may be treated as a cancellation, and the Assessment fee will be forfeited. Cancellations by the client are nonrefundable.
6. Late Arrivals and Missed Appointments
Your consultation will begin and end at the scheduled time. If you arrive late, the consultation will proceed for the remainder of your reserved 60-minute session. The scheduled end time will not be extended.
Arrivals 20 minutes or more after the scheduled start time may be treated as a missed appointment, and the Assessment fee will be forfeited. Failure to attend a scheduled consultation without prior notice will be considered a missed appointment and is nonrefundable.
7. If Amara Needs to Reschedule
If Amara needs to reschedule your consultation, you will be offered a new appointment at no additional charge. If Amara is unable to provide the NeuroDesign Home Assessment, you will receive a refund of the fee paid for the Assessment.
8. Your NeuroDesign Assessment
Within 10 business days following your consultation, Amara will provide your personalized visual NeuroDesign Assessment with key findings and prioritized recommendations.
The Assessment is developed specifically for you based upon the information and materials you provide, Amara's review and analysis of your home and the conversation during your consultation. Recommendations reflect Amara's professional judgment and are intended to provide design direction based upon your home, stated preferences, priorities, daily experience and wellbeing goals.
Recommendations may identify what Amara suggests changing, where and why. They are intended to provide clear direction that you may implement yourself or share with an existing designer, architect or project team. Because every person, home and circumstance is different, results will vary.
9. Scope of the Assessment
The NeuroDesign Home Assessment is an assessment and advisory service. It provides personalized findings, recommendations and design direction for your home.
Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, the Assessment does not include detailed design development, product sourcing or specification, purchasing or procurement, construction documents, architectural or engineering services, contractor coordination, installation or project management.
Projects requiring further design development, sourcing or implementation may be considered separately through Amara's Interiors + Creative Direction services and are subject to a separate scope, agreement and fee.
10. Nature and Limitations of NeuroDesign Services
Amara draws from design, neuroaesthetics, environmental psychology, human behavior, sensory perception and related research to consider the relationship between people and the built environment.
The NeuroDesign Home Assessment provides design and environmental guidance. It does not constitute medical, psychological, psychiatric, therapeutic, occupational therapy, architectural, engineering, legal or other licensed professional advice.
Amara does not diagnose, treat, prevent or cure medical or psychological conditions, and the Assessment is not a substitute for care or advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare provider or other licensed professional. No particular health, wellbeing, behavioral or other outcome is promised or guaranteed.
11. Implementation and Third-Party Services
You are responsible for determining whether and how to implement Amara's recommendations. Recommendations involving construction, structural modifications, electrical or mechanical systems, building codes, accessibility, safety or other regulated work should be reviewed and implemented by appropriately qualified and licensed professionals.
Amara is not responsible for the acts, omissions, workmanship, products or services of contractors, architects, engineers, installers, vendors or other third parties engaged by you. Before purchasing products, altering your home or undertaking construction, you are responsible for confirming dimensions, site conditions, compatibility, safety requirements and other information necessary for implementation.
12. Client Materials and Privacy
Photographs, videos, questionnaire responses and other materials you submit will be used for purposes reasonably related to providing your NeuroDesign Home Assessment and administering the client relationship.
Amara will not publish or use photographs, videos or identifying information about your home for portfolio, marketing, advertising, editorial, social media or case-study purposes without your separate prior written permission.
Any permission for such use will be requested separately and is not a condition of purchasing or receiving a NeuroDesign Home Assessment. Personal information is otherwise handled in accordance with Amara's Privacy Policy.
13. Intellectual Property
Your personalized NeuroDesign Assessment and recommendations are provided for your personal use in connection with the home assessed. You may implement the recommendations yourself and may share your Assessment with professionals working on your home for the limited purpose of assisting with implementation.
Amara retains all right, title and interest in its underlying methodologies, frameworks, processes, systems, evaluation criteria, templates and other proprietary materials and know-how. Purchase of a NeuroDesign Home Assessment does not transfer ownership of Amara's underlying intellectual property or grant any right to reproduce or use Amara's methodology independently of your personal Assessment.
You may not publish, reproduce, distribute, sell, license, teach, commercially exploit or create derivative commercial materials from Amara's Assessment or proprietary materials without prior written permission.
14. Virtual Services and Technology
The NeuroDesign Home Assessment is conducted virtually and therefore depends upon internet connectivity, video-conferencing technology and the photographs, video and other information available to Amara. Because Amara does not physically inspect your home as part of the virtual Assessment, its findings and recommendations are necessarily based upon the information and materials made available by you.
If a significant technical problem prevents the consultation from reasonably proceeding, Amara may reschedule the session at no additional charge.
15. No Guarantee of Results
Every person and environment is different. While Amara provides recommendations based upon its professional judgment and the information available, Amara cannot guarantee any particular result or outcome from the Assessment or implementation of its recommendations.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Amara will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from the NeuroDesign Home Assessment or implementation of its recommendations. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Amara's aggregate liability arising from the NeuroDesign Home Assessment will not exceed the amount actually paid by the client for the Assessment giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
17. Governing Law
These Terms will be governed by the laws of the State of Montana, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
18. Changes to These Terms
The Terms applicable to your NeuroDesign Home Assessment are those presented to and accepted by you at the time of purchase. Amara may update these Terms for future purchases from time to time. Changes will not retroactively alter the Terms applicable to an Assessment already purchased.
